Software fledgling iMotions gains important US order(2007.04.18)Denmark's iMotions - Emotion Technology has won an important order from USA's Cunningham Research GroupDenmark's iMotions - Emotion Technology, a high-tech start-up company specialising in development and production of emotion-sensitive software tools, has won an important order from USA's Cunningham Research Group for its software programme. The managing director of the US firm, Paul Cunningham says: "It is a great market advantage to both us and iMotions that we are already implementing the tool."
iMotions has developed Emotion Tool, a software that can measure human emotional response to visual stimuli such as print ads, direct marketing material, and brochures. The software, which also measures visual attention, uses data from a standard eye tracking monitor.
Peter Hartzbech, managing director and co-founder of iMotions says that the order represents a breakthrough on the US market. "Cunningham has locations throughout the US, so our product will spread throughout the entire country."
iMotions was founded in February 2005 and is based in central Copenhagen. Investors include Syddansk Venture, Jørgen Thorball who heads business development at Novozymes and MIT Professor Ken Morse. The news was reported by financial daily newspaper Børsen.
